David E. Coleman

Dave, Son of Bernadine "Bunny" and Eugene (Gene) Coleman was born on May 11 ^th 1970 in Walnut Creek, California. He went to Hillcrest Elementary, Glenbrook Middle School, and graduated from Olympic High School.

He married Becki L. Reilly on July 10, 1999 at St. Gerald Catholic Church in Omaha, Nebraska.  They lived in Omaha, Nebraska the rest of their married life and raised their son Tom here.

Dave was an outgoing and fun-loving man who enjoyed being around his friends and family. He loved the outdoors where he camped, rollerbladed, rode dirt bikes, and fished. Dave and his wife would take the jon boat out fishing or he could be caught fishing on the banks with friends and family. Nothing could compare to fishing in Florida with his brother and his family. He taught his son many things from fixing mowers, being kind to others to the joy of dirt bike riding. He had a passion for grilling from smoking food to many hours cooking smashburgers on the Blackstone for Tom's friends. He would help anybody feel welcome and he loved with all his heart. We joked that he had more than 9 lives as he was born with medical issues and had many surgeries and also had some close encounters in cars and dirt bikes. He received a kidney transplant in 1999 and the donor boy held a very special place in his heart.  He was able to make so many wonderful memories due to the kindness of that family in a difficult time. He will be greatly missed by so many people.

He was preceded in death by his son Tom Coleman and Father-in-law Tom Reilly, Sr.

He is survived by his Wife Becki, Parents Bernadine "Bunny" and Eugene Coleman, Mother-in-Law Marilyn "Snooks" Reilly, Siblings Ken (Jeanene) Coleman, Lisa Brooks, Dan (Debbie) Coleman, In-Laws Cherie (Michael) Carlson, and Tom (Special Friend Victoria) Reilly, Jr., Pamela (Billy) Bramhall, Niece/Nephews Marissa (Josh) Gunderson, Ryan Coleman, Blake Coleman , Baron (Stefani) Brooks, Tom Brooks, Eric (Sam) Brooks, Jessica Reilly, Jenn Reilly, Alyssa Carlson, and Megan Carlson.

A Celebration of David and Thomas's lives was held 11:00am, Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Braman Mortuary Southwest Chapel in Omaha, NE. A private family burial was held at St. Boniface Cemetery in Elgin, NE.
