Darrell Adrian Texley, 57 of Albion, NE passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Boone County Health Center, Albion, NE

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, NE with Vicar Elizabeth Goering officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Albion, NE. Darrell Adrian Texley, son of Adrian George and JoAnn (Krumland) Texley was born on June 6, 1964 at Tilden, Nebraska.  He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Zion Lutheran Church, Albion, NE.  Darrell attended school at Boone County School District 57 and then graduated from Albion High School with the class of 1982.  Darrell went on to attend Northeast Community College and received an Associates Degree in Auto Body.  He also attended Wayne State College for a short time before returning to Albion to help his father farm. Darrell also worked at Lindsay Manufacturing and helped his brother with his cleaning business.

On April 14, 1990 Darrell was united in marriage to Tamera Sue Tyson at First Assembly of God Church in Hastings, NE.  The couple lived in Albion, NE.  Darrell and Tami spent half of their weeks in Hickman, NE at the Christian Heritage Boys Home where they were foster parents for 68 young men. Due to health problems, Darrell and Tami retired from the foster home.  Along with farming, Darrell was a Jack of all trades, he always said you shouldn't have all your eggs in one basket, and you should always be versatile.  One of the things he really enjoyed was his Limousine service.

Darrell was a member of the Assembly of God Church.  Darrell enjoyed old TV shows, playing chess, and just being on the farm.   The family describes him as a genuinely kind man who passed no judgement on anyone.

Darrell is survived by his wife Tami; son Andrew; parents Adrian and JoAnn all of Albion, NE; sister Kathy Kronen and family friend Martha Padilla of Minneapolis, MN; brothers: Bob (Michelle) Kronen of Albion, NE; Paul (Beth) Texley of Cedar Falls, IA; mother and father-in-law Dennis and Faith Tyson of Albion, NE: foster son Michael Kroeker of Lincoln, NE: brother-in-law Jeff (Renee) Tyson of Lincoln, NE: 3 nieces, 5 nephews, 68 foster sons; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his brother Thomas Kronen.
