Christopher R. Kolm, 25, of Cedar Rapids, NE, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 as the result of an automobile accident near Primrose, NE.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Riverside Public School, Cedar Rapids, NE with Rev. Brian Ketelsen officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, NE. Visitation will be Monday from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. Prayer Service at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, NE.
In lieu of flowers Memorials are suggested to the Riverside Weight Room, or the family for later designation.
Christopher Raymond Kolm, son of Kevin Kim and Doris Ann (Salber) Kolm was born on September 1, 1993 at Columbus, NE. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, NE. He attended school at Cedar Rapids Public School and graduated in 2012. Chris attended Southeast Community College. He resided in Cedar Rapids where he had most recently been working at the Cedar Rapids Locker.
Chris was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. He had a love for animals, he enjoyed fishing, canoeing the Cedar river, lifting weights, football, playing pool, and pinochle. Chris had a kind heart and was a great son, brother, friend, uncle, grandson, nephew, and cousin.
Chris is survived by his mother Doris (Ben Rutten) of Cedar Rapids, NE; two sisters: Corinne (Josh Frank) Kolm of Beatrice, NE; Michelle (Justin) Kolm Bennett and children Shelbie, Kailie, Allison, and Josh of Overbrook, KS; brother Scotty Kolm (Diana Dubas) of Columbus, NE; grandmother Tudy Kolm of Cedar Rapids, NE; many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Kevin; grandparents: Billy Kolm, Raymond and Laura Salber; and uncle Gary Kolm.
