Carolyn Gray, 74, of Albion, NE, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Colorado Springs, CO.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Albion, NE with Fr. Matt Gutowski officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Monday at the church with a 7:00 p.m. wake service.
Levander Funeral Home of Albion is in charge of the arrangements.
Carolyn Gray, daughter of Louis P and Lucy June (Briqueleur) Orleans, was born May 16, 1951 in Colorado Springs, CO. She attended Brawley High School in Brawley, CA and graduated with the class of 1969. Following high school, Carolyn went to the University of Albuquerque and graduated in 1973 with her bachelor's degree.
On May 26, 1979, Carolyn married the love of her life, Larry Dale Gray in Neligh, NE. The couple was blessed with three children. They made their home in Albion, NE where they lived and raised their children. Carolyn was the supervisor of medical records at the Boone County Health Center until her retirement.
She was a longtime member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and siblings; traveling, including a trip with her daughter to Italy and to Japan to visit her sister; participating in music group; and as a mentor in the Teammates program.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 46 years: Larry Gray of Albion, NE; three children: Shawn (Juli) Gray of Omaha, NE; Tina (Michael) Schinstock of Lincoln, NE; Daniel (Jess) Gray of Bennington, NE; three sisters: Margaret (Tom) Orleans of Colorado Springs, CO; Marie Hall of Colorado Springs, CO; Dorothy (Ron) Koester of Grafton, ND; two brothers: Lou (Valli) Orleans of Colorado Springs, CO; Larry Orleans of Windsor, CO; 11 grandchildren; 29 nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law Bob Gray; mother-in-law Christena Gray; two brothers-in-law: Bob Hall and Jerome Mueller; and sister-in-law Joan Gray.
