Bonnie D. Cloeter

Bonnie D. Cloeter, 88, of Albion, NE, died Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Loretto United Methodist Church in Loretto, NE, with Rev. Lynde Linde officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion, NE. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion, NE.

Bonnie D. Cloeter, daughter of Harold and Veda (Courtney) Wolf was born on February 17, 1933, at Tarkio, Missouri. When Bonnie was 9 her family moved to Nebraska. She attended school at District 53 west of Loretto, then graduated from Albion High School.

On March 23, 1951, Bonnie was united in marriage to Carroll V. Cloeter at Plainview, NE. The couple lived and farmed west of Loretto. She worked as a stay-at-home mom until their youngest son was in the 8th grade. She then went to work at Lindsay Manufacturing for 21 years. Bonnie also helped her husband on the farm. The couple moved to Albion in 1992.

Bonnie was a member of the Loretto Methodist Church as well as the United Methodist Women. She and Carroll did a lot of traveling throughout the United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. They also belonged to several card clubs and did a lot of dancing. Bonnie was about the kindest person you could ever know. She was always willing to give of herself and her time, to bring a meal or send a card. Her smile would warm your heart.

Bonnie is survived by four children, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren: Rhonda (Mark) Phillips of Dickenson, TX with sons Shane Phillips (children Ethan & Gavin) and Todd (Jaime) Phillips (children Christian, Mady, & Slayden); Steve (Sandy) Cloeter of Albion, NE with son Shad (Jessica) Cloeter and daughter Shannon (Jason) Hagemann (children Jaden, Brynna, and Brielle); Dennis (Linda) Cloeter of Columbus, NE with sons Joshua (Kally) Cloeter (children Aubrie & Colt) and Adam Cloeter; Kurt (Molly) Cloeter of Columbus, NE with children Makenzie, Makenna (son Nolan), Makaela and Kaleb; along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carroll, sisters and brothers-in-law: Betty (George) DeMary; Donna (Ray) Borer; and all of her husband Carroll's siblings.
