Beverly A. Weber, daughter of Forrest and Margaret (Porter) Hamel was born on May 12, 1936, at Peru, NE. She attended school in Homer, NE from Kindergarten through the 4th grade. She then finished grade school at rural Boone County – Bradish School before graduating in 1955 from Albion High School. After graduation she went to Omaha School of Business and worked at US National Bank. In 1956 Bev followed Merlin to California.

Bev married the love of her life, Merlin L. Weber Jr., at the United Methodist Church in Bakersfield, CA on May 18, 1957. There she worked at a bank in Bakersfield before moving back to Nebraska. She worked at US Bank Omaha until Merlin was discharged from the Army in October of 1957. They returned to the Loretto area where she and Merlin farmed and raised livestock. To this union three children were born: Eydie, Kip and Cory.

Bev was a member of the United Methodist Church in Loretto, NE. She joined the Order of Easter Star in 1964 where she held nearly every office there was to hold. In her younger years, she was a mascot for her father's 4-H club at the age of 4-years-old. She also showed dairy cows for 9 -10 years at Aksarben. She held the record for the most years as champion. Because of her upbring, 4-H had a special place in her heart. Bev was a 4-H leader and led a cooking club for many years. She and Merlin also enjoyed square dancing with the Harmony Squares and participating in a card club with their Loretto neighbors for many years. In her later years she enjoyed sewing a lot of different things, puzzles, playing cards, and walking her poodle, Buster, around town. Her biggest passion in life has been her grandchildren and following their activities and making long lasting memories with them.

Bev is survived by her three children: Eydie (John) Kaup of Albion; Kip Weber and significant other Sue Walford of Albion; Cory (Roger) Price of Papillion, NE; seven grandchildren: Kyla (Elliott) Ward-Bowen of Pasadena, CA; Nichole (Dan) Dobi of Hawthorne, CA; Mercedie (Jeremy) Jafferis of Phoenix, AZ; Skyler (Sydney) Weber of Albion, NE; Taylor Weber of Kearney, NE; Olivia Price of Lincoln, NE; Collin Price of Papillion, NE; two great-grandchildren: Rhys and Ivy Ward-Bowen; and four-legged companion: Buster.

She was preceded in death by her parents Forrest and Margaret Hamel; husband: Merlin Weber in 2016; parents-in-law: Merlin Sr. and LaVerna Weber.
