Beverly J. Larson, 93, of Albion, NE, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 20, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, NE, with Rev. Carolann Hopcke officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion, NE. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at church. Levander Funeral Home of Albion, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Beverly Jean Larson, daughter of Alvie Frank and Rachel Elizabeth (King) Coulter was born June 23, 1930, in Albion, NE. She was Baptized on April 3, 1931, at Albion Congregational Church and Confirmed on April 5, 1942. She was later Confirmed at Zion North Branch Church on December 2, 1951. She attended Albion Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1948. During this time, she worked many jobs including delivering the Omaha World-Herald newspaper, babysitting, TA Thompson Drug Store and for the Albion News as a reporter. Following graduation Bev attended Wayne State College and Doane College for teaching. She taught in rural Boone County in District #89 for two years and then in District #62 for one year following her marriage.

On March 25, 1951, Bev was united in marriage to Dean Robert Larson at Congregational Church. From this union Bev was blessed with four children. Bev was very involved at Zion North Branch Lutheran Church. She held many local and conference offices in the Church Women organizations. She taught Sunday School and Bible School. In high school music had been a main activity and Bev carried that into her adult life by singing in church choirs, small groups and solos, for many funerals and wedding ceremonies. In 1968 the family joined Albion's Zion Lutheran Church.

Bev and Dean were sponsors for Luther league for several years. She also belonged to Amazing Grays, Sons of Norway and she was a representative of Zion Church Women United. She enjoyed playing bridge and golfing. She loved following her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren's activities.

Bev loved to travel and enjoyed many trips in the United States. She visited 48 states, Canada, Norway, Denmark, and Great Britain.

Bev is survived by her four children: Ellen (Mike) Frey of Albion; John (Mary Lu) Larson of Petersburg; Luther (Deb) Larson of Omaha; Betty (Craig) Polt of Lincoln; 16 grandchildren: Christy Mollhoff, Kim (Eric) Yungdahl, Craig (Amy) Frey, Justin (Brenda) Frey, Nicole (Rob) Scholl, Amber (Jason) Becker, Kyle (Jessi) Larson, Kelli (Mark) Tisthammer, Trina (Andy) Rea, Chad (Meghan) Larson, Brian (Krista) Larson, Kari (Brandon) Dodd, Kirsten (Jake) Clark, Adam (Becca) Polt, Matthew (Audrey) Polt, and Jessica Polt; 48 great-grandchildren; brother: Andy (Jan) Coulter; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Tisthammer and Laura (John) Muenchrath; along with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Dean Larson in 2018; infant grandson: John Alan Larson; brother and sister-in-law: Dick (Thelma) Coulter; mother and father-in-law: Albert and Dora Larson; sisters and brothers-in-law: Vera (David) Runnels; Myrna (Bud) Ahrens; Margaret (Cecil) Jacobson; Caryll (Bill) Karges; Alice (Max) Howard; Glenys (Tom) Quinlan; Jim Tisthammer; and Michael Wray.
