Betty Ann Greisen

Betty A. Greisen, 91, of St. Edward, NE, passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 24, 2020 at the United Methodist Church in St. Edward, NE, with Rev. Vern Olson officiating. Inurnment will be at Palestine Baptist Cemetery, rural St. Edward, NE. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Edward Fire and Rescue or Cloverlodge Care Center.

Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Greisen, daughter of Reynold Joseph and Mary (Parry) Berlin, was born at home in rural Platte County, NE on June 28, 1928. As a child, her family moved to California and she attended school there through the sixth grade. The family then returned to the area and operated Berlin Dairy and Betty kept the books for it.

On November 9, 1954 Betty was united in marriage to Jerome Anthony Greisen. They made their home and ran a dairy farm near St. Edward, NE. Betty also did knitting for Pauline's Knit Shop in Newman Grove.

Betty was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church, when the couple moved to St. Edward in 1994 they transferred their membership to the United Methodist Church in St. Edward, NE. Betty and Jerome played cards and hosted many card parties on the weekends. She was also a member of American Baptist Women, Mission Society, extension clubs, and was a former 4H leader. Betty always enjoyed spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren's activities.

Betty is survived by two children: Paul (Lynette) Greisen, and Pat (Tim) Leinart all of St. Edward, NE; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren: Nicole (Shawn) Carraher, Camden and Hudson of Lincoln, NE; Crystal (David) Fitchner, Payton, Parker, and Paisley of St. Edward, NE; Natalie (Jason) Morgan, Faith, Jackson and Maizie of Greenland, MI; Trevor (Amber) Leinart, Christian and Elijah of Hooper, NE; Blake (Kylee) Greisen, Kaden (of CO), and Kinlee of Hastings, NE; sister-in-law: Bernetta Berlin; brothers-in-law: Robert Hancock; Ralph (Sandi) Greisen; and Ron (Judy) Greisen; along with other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jerome; and siblings: Virginia Graham; Robert Berlin; Keith Berlin; and Mary Hancock.
