Audrey Lynn (Martinsen) Winkel, 70, formerly of Primrose, NE, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.

Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the First Presbyterian Church, Primrose NE with Rev. Janet Burgel officiating.  Visitation will be an hour prior.  There will be a Celebration of Life following at the Country Inn, Cedar Rapids, NE.  Burial will be at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the Cedar Rapids Library or the Dublin Cemetery in Primrose, NE.

Levander Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Audrey Lynn (Martinsen) Winkel, daughter of Dillard and Evelyn (Tschudin) Farmer was born on January 16, 1951, at Cedar Rapids, NE.  She attended school at Cedar Rapids Public School.

On January 26, 1968, Audrey was united in marriage to Ronald Ray Martinsen at Hebron, NE.  The couple lived near Primrose.  Ron passed away in 1985.  Audrey worked as a cook and housewife.  She also sold Avon.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Primrose, NE and the Secret Sister Club.  Audrey will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her big heart, and her love for reading.  She was always a positive person and willing to help others.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren playing games and watching movies.  Her favorite movies were "Beauty and the Beast", and "The Wizard of Oz". Audrey affected the lives of several area youth by volunteering as a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader as well as a Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by her two children: Scott (Teresa) Martinsen of Cedar Rapids, NE; Sherri (Mike) Kelley of Albion, NE; 6 grandchildren: Michelle (Mike) Metz, Nicole (Cory Bittner), Allyson, and Tyler Martinsen; Shawn (Mikayla) and Brody Kelley; 3 great-grandchildren: Liam and Avery Metz, and Journee Bittner; sister Cindy (Lee) Morisch of Belgrade, NE; sister-in-law: Theresa Farmer of  Omaha, NE; along with many other relatives and friends.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ron; and brother Bradley Farmer.
