Arthur J. Lee

Arthur J.  Lee, 87, of Albion, NE, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society, Albion, NE.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 17, 2021 at Immanuel Zion Lutheran Church, rural Albion, NE with Pastor Becky Beckmann and Vicar Elizabeth Goering officiating. Burial will follow at the parish South Branch Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Masks will be required at the visitation and the funeral service.

Arthur Jerome Lee, son of Selmer and Julia (Kaarstad) Lee was born August 10, 1933, on the family farm at rural Bradish in Boone County, NE.  He was the youngest of three sons.  Art attended school at District 77 and District 34 in Boone county and then Newman Grove Schools until the tenth grade.  He lived with his parents and helped his father and brothers, Ronald and Dennis with their farming operations.

Art learned to drive when he was in his twenties and loved his Allis-Chalmers tractors, Pontiac, Grand Marquis and Lincoln cars.  He enjoyed trips to Kansas City and California with his brother Dennis.  Art worked at the Nebraska State Fair in the Industrial Arts Building for over a decade.  He enjoyed being on a bowling team at the Newman Grove Bowling Alley.  Art moved to Harmony Apartments in the summer of 2006.  He looked forward to having his noon meals at the Albion Senior Center.

As a result of a stroke in June of 2016 Art moved to Good Samaritan Society.  He is being remembered for his smile and kind nature.  He especially enjoyed visits from his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his brother Dennis (Kathleen) Lee of Albion; sister-in-law Judeen Lee of Newman Grove, NE; nephew Kent (Lori) Lee of Albion, NE; nieces: Marcia (John) Wald of Columbus, NE; Connie (Dan) Lindenstein of Lincoln, NE; Tracey (Jackson) Moore of Columbus, NE; Monica (Jason) Buss of Central City, NE; Valerie (James) Paul of York, NE; along with many great nephews and nieces.

Art was reunited in heaven with his parents and his brother Ronald.
