Arla M. Naber, 99, of Albion, NE passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at Cloverlodge Care Center in St. Edward, NE.
In consideration of the COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, there will be a private family service held at Zion Lutheran Church, Albion, NE with Pastor Carolann Hopcke officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE. In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions set by the CDC, a restricted visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, NE, from 9-10:30 a.m. In an effort to keep our community safe, we strongly encourage those feeling ill or who are part of an at-risk population (e.g., the elderly or immune-compromised, etc.) to please stay home. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Arla Mae Naber, daughter of Rudolph and Lucy (Leptien) Witt was born on February 12, 1921 at her parents' home in Dodge, Nebraska. She attended school at Dodge County School District #24 and graduated from Scribner High School.
On May 10, 1939 Arla was united in marriage to Walter G.F. Naber at the United Lutheran Church in Scribner, NE. They lived on a farm in Cuming county until moving to a farm in Boone County in 1942. In 1991 the couple moved into Albion in 1994. Arla worked as a dairy farmer. She also took care of her great-grandchildren, and grandchildren occasionally.
Arla was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, NE. She was a 4-H leader for 30 years, volunteered at the hospital, senior center, pre-school and hospital daycare, was a member of an extension club since 1943, the Albion Area Art Group, and the ELCA Women. Walter and Arla were inducted into the Boone County Hall of Fame in 2002 and Arla was the United Church Woman of the year. Arla loved to work outside, especially in her large garden. She loved working with children and loved her cows.
Arla is survived by her children: Karen Trammel of Pahrump, NV; Loran (Patricia) Naber of Petersburg, NE; Loean "Lou" (Bill Frieden) Hanson of Aledo, IL; Ralph (Diane) Naber of Grand Island, NE; son-in-law Tom Wirges of Holeoke, CO; 15 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; sister Opal Mogensen of Cedar Rapids, NE; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Lois; son-in-law Carey Trammel; brothers Wayne and Milo Witt; and sister Donna Carper.
