Allen D. Waymire

Allen Dean Waymire, 55, of Cedar Rapids, NE passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Bryan Medical Center East Campus, Lincoln, NE. Allen gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

As per his wishes, he was cremated. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Levander Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Allen was born April 23, 1970, in Spalding, NE, the son of James Dean and Phyllis L. (Harvey) Waymire. He grew up in Cedar Rapids, graduating from Cedar Rapids High School in 1988. He married Marilyn Dush on June 19th, 1998 and a daughter, Jasmine, was born to this union. They lived in Columbus, NE, until he moved to Cedar Rapids. He was a self-taught mechanic who could repair almost anything with an engine.  Allen loved cats, his old pickup, and rock music.

He is survived by his daughter, Jasmine, his mother, Phyllis, sisters Tracy Zentner (George Boesch) and Cyndi Greger (Scott) of Cedar Rapids, and Cheryl Ransdell (Duane) of Columbus, and an aunt, Evelyne Wassili of Cedar Rapids, and many nieces and nephews as well as close friends.

He was predeceased by his father, James, sister Sheila Allen, and grandparents.
