Alice Rose Wiese was born on February 29, 1936, in Madison, Nebraska, to Anton and Ottilie (Kucera) Kyncl. Alice attended school until the 8th grade in rural Madison. Her mom passed away when she was 13 years old, and she moved in with her sister. She met Eugene Wiese at the Humphrey Ballroom and it was love at first dance, they were married a short time later when she was only 16 years old.

On January 20, 1953, Alice was united in marriage to Eugene L. 'Gene' Wiese at St. Leonard's Catholic Church. She was also baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith at this time. Following their marriage, they lived in Maryland before settling in rural Lindsay, where they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.

Alice was a devoted wife, loving mother, and exceptional grandmother. She worked as a cook at the Albion Sale Barn, Newman Grove Sale Barn, Dave's Place, and The Watering Hole.

A faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay, Alice was active in the Ladies Auxiliary and Guild.

Alice loved polka dancing, cooking and spending time with family. She always had a smile on her face and skip in her step. Whether she was raising her kids, helping with the farm or playing with her grandkids, she absolutely enjoyed and lived life to the fullest. It wasn't out of the ordinary to see her helping with chores or riding the bean bar. If she wasn't doing that she was out "loafing". You could always find her having supper with Gene, winning money in the casino or spending Gene's money on a great sale at Penney's. If you did catch her at home, she would be caught up in a western, or The Price Is Right. She also had a small wild side, every wrestler had a special name and those names are not up for publishing. If she had an opportunity to do something fun she would be ready in one minute, but never without a classy outfit and jewelry to match.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Julie Garza of North Platte; Gary (Amy) Wiese of Lindsay; Kenny (Marilyn) Wiese of Newman Grove; Dale Wiese of Lindsay; Kevin (Jenny) Wiese of Newman Grove; and Larry (Cindi Bader) Wiese of Newman Grove; 20 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; her son, Alan Wiese; son-in-law Gary Garza; granddaughter Jodie Garza; great-grandchildren Colton, Joselyn, Alexus, Jurnee, and Lucas Wiese; her brothers Ed (Kathy) Kyncl, Joe (Delores) Kyncl, Alvin (Doris Kyncl), and Clarence Kyncl; and her sister, Viola (Jerome) Knapp.
