Alan R. Wiese, 64, of Newman Grove, NE died Monday, July 1, 2024, at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE following a brief illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Holy Family Church in Lindsay, NE with Fr. Stan Schmit officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery, Lindsay, NE. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the church with a 7:00 p.m. wake service.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Levander Funeral Home of Newman Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Alan Raymond Wiese, son of Eugene Leo and Alice Rose (Kyncl) Wiese was born on January 10, 1960 at Newman Grove, NE.  He was baptized and confirmed at Lindsay Holy Family Church.  Alan attended school at Newman Grove Public School, graduating with the class of 1979.

Following high school Alan farmed for Norman Shanle, and in 1990 started his mechanic career working for Jay Johnson. He also farmed with his dad and brothers, as well as helping many people whenever they need it. Alan was blessed with his daughter Savannah and had a very close relationship with her, they would visit through facetime every morning and night, and sometimes even more during the day. Alan also enjoyed golfing, bowling, going to the lake, gambling at the casino, and going on vacations.

Alan is survived by his daughter Savannah of LaVista, NE; her mother, Alan's special friend Donna Ciboron of Columbus, NE; mother Alice Wiese of Lindsay, NE; six siblings: Julie Garza of North Platte, NE; Gary (Amy) Wiese of Lindsay, NE; Kenny (Marilyn) Wiese of Newman Grove, NE; Dale Wiese of Lindsay, NE; Kevin (Jenny) Wiese of Newman Grove, NE; Larry (Cindi Bader) Wiese of Newman Grove, NE; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Alan was preceded by his father; brother-in-law: Gary Garza; niece: Jodie Garza; great-nieces and nephew: Colton, Joselyn, Alexus, Jurnee, and Lucas Wiese; aunts and uncles.
